Our love for sporting dogs run deep; it’s at the very core of who we are.
Serious Dogs For Serious People
When I look back on the last twenty something years of my life, there's always been one constant, the love of dogs. I have dedicated my life to learning as much as possible about the American Pit Bull Terrier. This quest for knowledge led to the creation of the Canine Athletes Facebook page in 2010. When I started the page, I had no idea what it would become. Initially, I saw it as a vehicle to share my knowledge, experiences and post pictures of my great companions. Over the next few years the page steadily grew, and I heard from people all over the world that loved the motivational, inspirational and educational benefits they received from the page. In my opinion, helping others gives life purpose, and I'm proud that I’m able to help people. There is one message that I received that I often reflect on, a message from a viewer with physical disabilities. He credited Canine Athletes for providing the inspiration and motivation ‘to put in the work’ alongside his athletes, despite his disability. As a result, his athletes got in much better shape and he himself lost 16lbs! What most people don’t know is the page is just as motivating for me. Let’s face it, we all have those days where we would rather be lazy and sit on the couch, but that’s not how the Canine Athletes nation operates. Every day we are focused and driven with the passion and values to push our athletes (and ourselves) to our maximum potential! There are no days off…we work just as hard as our athletes and we enjoy every second of it.
In the summer of 2014, a few friends suggested I make a couple of shirts to wear at the next dog show. I soon realized that canine athlete enthusiasts were thirsty for apparel that represented their passion and values. What started out as a few shirts for friends, is quickly developing into something bigger than I ever expected. In only a few short years, Canine Athletes has grown into one of the most recognizable brands in the canine athlete world.
I have shipped Canine Athletes products to Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Cyprus, Denmark, Dubai, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, The Netherlands, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates and Uruguay! To see people from all over the world using our gear, blows my mind. I thank you all!
